that will one day take us places
Seems we all could use a peaceful place
that’s detached from a colorless mood
especially when the comforts of home
no longer provide complete solitude
Joined together by the poetic passion
that runs rapidly through our veins
while individually yearning to be released
from life’s emotional chains
Some people write for fame and fortune
while others merely desire to vent, but
most of us would settle for a moment of clarity
even if we never profited one single cent
