  1. The pain too real
    Strength eludes me
Resolution won’t be found at the bottom of a glass of whiskey
    Just a temporary fix
    An escape
    Drowning out our history
    Discarded memories
    Like love never lived here
    The leaving, way too easy
    Like we never existed
    The sad realization
    You won’t even miss me

  2. The thoughts of first love, my, the smile it tends to bring upon our face. And yet, as we age, the potency of love’s innocence can quickly fade. This poem brings back the lightness of youthful love and tempts the reader to rediscover its gentle intoxicating joy.

    Title: Dizzy In Love

    Drowning, dizzy and done
    ouch, my head is spinning
and I’m not sure this is really fun.

    I can’t seem to stand
    when i’m falling in love.

    My heart is pounding
think it might leap, clearly from my chest
    my thoughts are giddy
i can’t make any sense, of my comings or goings.

    Oh, it’s sheer bliss
    young love
    and it’s first kiss.

  3. cupid’s arrow

    one day cupid
lay away in her golden bed
    her bed of golden rings
    looking out at the world

    thinking of love
    and lost
    and whether
    those she shot
    with her arrow

    stayed together
    she wanted to know
    and stared out
    at the wide world

    thinking dark thoughts
    of love’s lost
    and found
