Graves, Tombstones And Tears
They light candles and make speeches
Following a terrible tradition
Painted in blood
Punctuated
By the shot screaming like a banshee
In nightmares belonging
Where the survivors
Suffer in red repetitions
Bitterly found on battlefields
And eerily imitated in Anywhere, U.S.A.
The Wizard of Law Enforcement
Styling himself as an oracle
Defecates the deceased
By failing to name the infamous
And concealing the truth:
Guns kill and it too has a name:
Chris Harper Mercer,
Showing no mercy
Sprayed bullets
Touching the disbelievers in violent hallelujah.
Roseburg, Oregon
Has officially realized
The Second Amendment,
A right in the U.S. Constitution,
Is written in graves, tombstones and tears.
Ten more reasons to remember
Today can fade tomorrow.
The brass jackets
Flying freely
From the magazine clip made sure of that.
