Women In Black

Tomorrow when she wakes
she will blend with the ordinary
sipping burnt coffee and stale donuts
enclosed in a corporate cocoon
So tonight
this woman in black will indulge
in splendor from crystal flutes
as she flaunts her curves
and borrowed diamonds
with crowded eyes wondering
who she is and what she has done
While they bask in golden statues
and caviar treasures
she will take with her
historic moments lost in frosted glass
but are worth more than the best performance
