He searched the starry sky for her
Studied each constellation
Looked upon each star wishing
To catch a glimpse of her
He looked upon the planets afar
Between moon and star
Hoped to see her dance on Saturn’s rings
Maybe she shyly hid behind the moon
Even thought he saw her on a comets tail
He waited all night hoping and wishing
Waited till dawn, maybe she rides the sun
Waited all day, thought she showered in rain
Slept on the clouds and flew with wind
Waited till evening when the day was spent
But his eyes caught no sight
Sadness he felt in his heart
He lowered his head with tear and frown
In that moment what did he behold?
He found her right there asleep
On her roses fold

About the Author: Markus Fleischmann is a free thinker and writer who lives in Texas. For me, writing down my thoughts and experiences is an outlet, a release of emotions that I feel, and experiences and emotions of others. I am an empath which grants me the gift of heightened feeling in my surroundings. As a dreamer, free thinker and a peddler of words it brings me such great joy to be able to share this gift with others.
