an Old man recalls the dream that changed everything
now that I am getting old
i often reflect
on the past
on how my life
turned out
and why it did
what could I have done differently
and what would I change
but there is one thing
that I know for sure
the central mystery
of my life
is how she came
out of my dreams
and into my life
38 years ago
46 years since the dream
when she walked
off that bus
I knew that life
had truly begun
everything else
was but a prelude
to the main event
the love story
the endless story
of me
and my dream girl
