Places by Jill N. Pontiere

There are places I’ve yet to visit

Streets I’ve yet to roam

Windows not looked out of

So many places far away from home

Rivers to paddle and wade in

Mountains to be admired

Meadows just there for the taking

Fields of flowers to explore

Tickets to purchase for travel

Boots for the long winding trails

Suitcases all packed and all ready

Reservations to make on the rails

In my mind I’ve been so many places

In my heart I’ve never left home

So pack your suitcases my darling

We’re leaving for places unknown
