little bird in my hand
just been born
little bird in my hand
tell me what you know
tell me what you’ve heard
little bird do tell me
I want to know
then I will set you free
and let you fly away
into the sky
to be with your fellow birds
and tell them
that I set you free
little bird
do we have an agreement
the little bird
chirped his assent
then told me his secrets
the secrets of the universe
and I let him go
and he flew off
with a smile
waving at me
