I choose humanitarianism over patriotism.

I choose the Earth, as a whole,

Over divided countries with invisible lines,

And symbols used to separate those divides.

I choose to open my eyes.

I choose to see through the lies.

I choose to be a voice of changing these ties

And tearing down the disguise.

I’m pouring black ink on the whitewashed times.

I’m wringing the blood out of idolized signs.

I refuse to be just a silent pantomime

Marching in line to celebrate the crimes

Perpetuated and sustained by a color coded design

Of archaic and ancient minds.
