Hey there little miss loneliness
It’s time to start the show
Pick a font and start to type
Let every feeling flow
Words stand at the ready
To fill the empty page
You can pepper them with nuance
For you, all the world’s a stage
Let heartache be the recipe
The pain can feed the fire
Sprinkle numb and emptiness
Desperation and desire
Colors swirl around your head
In a velvet melancholy haze
I bet you can write a thousand words
You’ve been ready now for days
Fingers peck out an alphabet
Producing rhyme and seductive verse
You find it quite amusing
How the gift can be the curse
What topics will you cover
Will we travel with you far
Unravel all the mystery
See who you really are
Hey there little miss loneliness
It’s time to start the show
All of us are waiting
Tell us what you know

So many twists and turns in preparation mode… This poem ended too soon, but what a stunning closure… Fantastic poem here, Lyne.
