~ Morning Stroll ~

Along the water’s edge is a wooden bench, empty and cold.

The mirror image of buildings reflects on the pond, rugged and old.

Birds make the sounds of the mornings first light, skimming on the water to catch the early birds first bite.

Early morning chill as you walk along the pond, cloudy day again, colors of grey,

Watching the light winds wand change the top of the water with its streaming silver shadow display.

Quiet contentment in the homes that cast their mirror on to the waters with a light here and there,

The beauty of this morning stroll, is one beyond compare.
