In This Room by Jaz

I love poetry-

For it streams from every pore to connect the human heart

The shapes it takes on is miraculous and healing

I love this room

It keeps on giving

Keeps ringing

Keeps shape-shifting

Keeps singing

It’s clever

I can always depend on Courtney’s hearty & infectious laugh

And I take the invitation to join in well after other laughter’s have long since ceased and fell through the floorboards to settle back in their comfortable places…

I love that she has that freedom

Men with white hair are delightful

And I can see genius dancing on their shiny bald heads

In this room there is salt & vinegar

Fire & rain

Sprinkles & stardust

Twilight & noonday

Oh! And I miss the man with the guitar

I wonder if he’s home

constructing yet another symphony to tickle our fancy

In this room is winter, spring, summer & fall

and the mysterious seasons in between them all

I miss Autumn & Ashraf

Eileen & Michelle

The cute guy who was easy on the eye

He was a poem wrapped up in a song

I bet he’s long since gone

In this room…lives poetry

And it streams from every pore to connect the human heart

The shapes it takes on is miraculous & healing

I love this room.
