Point of View by Veronica Thornton

They say your either black or white

but what if we were to look for the grey along the way

making some feel right and others feel wrong

regardless of what you thought you knew

it changes depending on your point of view

your DNA is only part of what makes you

we experience all kinds of things along the way

that shapes you into who you are today

So while you think someone else’s vision is skewed

remember they were coming from their own point of view

I know it’s natural to reject but what else would you expect

there are some things people have yet to experience

that doesn’t mean attack them with a vengeance

they can only use you as a point of reference

that’s the difference and even that’s not definite

instead of saying what you would do

make sure you understand their point of view of you

It’s a part of the human condition

to speak on another’s decision

yet it’s said we can’t see someone else’s vision

because we are all on our own mission

saying what you would do if it were up to you

that’s just an opinion based on your point of view.
