Journeying
Beyond that corner,
beyond my neighborhood,
besides my town and roads abroad,
perhaps even above these clouds
and distant worlds,
there are people I have never seen
or ever will.
They do not know how much I love them,
brothers conceived in a primeval wellspring,
by the sixth day of the divine week of creation,
long, long ago.
We have been colonizing our dear earth,
writing our history by meager a strength
and unlimited a faith, journeying and pursuing,
day after day, the promised new land.
The biblical one, where honey and milk flow,
which, I believe, we will encounter not so far
from the horizon of upcoming so happy a day.
