You said we’d be forever,

And I took you at your word.

But now we’re not together,

Something tragic has occurred.

I speak as if, you’re still here,

Your ghost is at my side.

But this isn’t what you promised,

Though I know you never lied.

It came as such a shock,

When they told me of your fate.

But, forever fools the best of them,

And forever took my mate.
