There she is, on a humid summer day,
a stranger in an eerie place, nobody sees.
Whispers of grief, drift through the air,
ancient trees sigh, longing for a breeze.
She does not belong, this is not her home,
crickets sing a sad song, birds chime in.
Rugged in appearance, with loving eyes,
he appears before her, deep pain within.
Broken, beaten down from a great loss,
she pulls him in, anticipating his lips.
A yearning is felt, within his embrace,
she suddenly knows, home is where he is.
