I lay in the grass,
Look up at the sky,
I’m looking for signs
From clouds passing by.
The day turns to night
The light is all gone,
I’m still looking up
As dark turns to dawn.
The stars shimmer bright,
They twinkle and shine.
Can you still see me?
Is your heart still mine?
Is your soul lonely,
Like mine is for you?
Will you be waiting,
When my life is through?
Where are my answers?
Will you visit soon?
All hope has faded,
My heart’s grown immune.
