The Absconding Protagonist
I used to be my own savior; no more
My inner self is now messed up; so cold
The bloom of my life’s orchid
Was lost somewhere in the procrastination’s territory,
The storm of no remorse
Has disintegrated my future trajectory
Transformed into ash,
Burnt by the fire of unknown
A bizarre battle with the self-occurred,
Ridiculed by my own enthusiasm even more
My silent heartbeats in this cataclysm
Not getting the usual rhythm,
My head is betraying the heart
The Knowledge suffocating all its wisdom
Tortured tears come crumbling down with dramatic eruption, aimlessly wandering down my face
While every breath is seeking redemption
Painting those words on this piece of paper,
I am like the wordless lyricist,
Hiding myself from my own relentless scrutiny, I have become my life’s own . . .
