Belted out spirituals to take you higher
Jumping and stomping until you perspire
Singing a sing-a-long with the choir
Giving testimonials discussing a tempestuous life that was prior
Mind and body as one setting the soul on fire
Riches and blessings is what is desired
Contributing to the “building fund” is what is required
Spoon-fed the illusion playing the part of the pacifier
Unaware of what will transpire
With this new sense of awareness
Miss-stepping intellectually remaining careless
Carrying you off to the nuthouse like Mariah
Forever being known as a pariah
