The sun hides, blue skies turns gray,
air weighs me down, can hardly breathe.
I miss your touch, sweet whispers of love,
only sleepless nights, exhausted days.
Thunderstorms threaten, lightning strikes,
my soul is weary, these afflictions are real.
Wide-open spaces, keep us so far apart,
our love is strong, and for that, I will fight.
Leaves shall fall, when summer parts,
colors, will cast their light on my soul.
As nights get longer, and each day fades,
the heart finds strength, in natureâs art.
