Hiking the PCT the Boots Story
the two boots were tired
from walking the PCT
with their master
25 miles per day
up and down
some of the most challenging terrain
on the planet
the two boots
were taking a break
while their master
soaked their feet
the two boots
had become bosom friends
brothers in the quest
and secret guides
as they keep their master
going step after step
they wish they could talk
and tell him
they loved him
but they were quiet
silent
as the boots had no voice
and they waited
to resume their quest
with the dawning sun
