  1. Fading into you
    Dark shadows
    Gray hues
    Reflection of love
    Passion ignites
    Underneath the curtain of night

  2. As Sure As

The curtain of night falls upon us…

    As inevitable as the sun
    which sinks beneath the Willow
As sure as the stars dotting
    the blackening skies
As sure as the moon giving its
    direction to the tides
As certain as life pulsing anew
    time and sgain
As certain as age and time having
    its way with us

The curtain of night falls upon us…

  3. Title: Upon Us

    The curtain of night
    upon us.

    An icy grip
    refusing to allow us
    to shake the sinister moment
that haunts us from the past.

Darkness is a fatal resting place
    where its velvety cover
lulls us into a perceived comfort.

    We were lost then
    we are irretrievable now
as we pier through the key holes
    of locked doors
    we tried to secure.

    Does memory ever release
    its hold
    … when darkness is buried
    in its shadowed sin?

  4. a young woman
    the end of life

    things are just
    too much
    for her to bear

    as she sits
    the end of life

    she smiles
    and thinks
    of all those
    she will miss

    and picks up the phone
    and calls her best friend
    and puts off the end

    until another day
    and drinks coffee
    and thinks

I have had a good life
    and I am not ready
    to go

    so I guess
    I will stay
    after all
