The words left unspoken
Would it matter
Absence of a kiss
Would it be missed
Early morning embrace
What if it never took place
Holding your hand
Would it be longed for
If we never were us
Would your heart understand
I miss you
I miss the you before life got in the way
I miss the us that lived for the moment
I miss the way you gazed at me
Such love, compassion and intensity
Gone are the moments
Love is history
I just wanted to know
Would you miss me
xoxo

My Heart Needs A Home
I wasn’t prepared to say goodbye
What? How? WHY?
Tears flood around
My heart, confusion is found
Into the stars I set my gaze
Will sadness become my final phase?
This can’t be the end of our story!
How is this love’s glory?
Pleading for strength and comfort
With broken words- it hurts
Love and grace
Seem lost in this place
Through past memories- I roam
Will I ever find my welcome home?

Missing You
When you’re near me,
the sky is no longer blue.
You’re the pink lenses
I see the world through.
When you leave me,
you take away your spell.
The drabness returns,
making me want to yell.
Looking out the window,
your ghost is all I see.
Strangers are standing
where you used to be.
There’s nothing I can do,
but to endure my pain.
This poem is not an elegy,
and we’ll meet again.
