I was pondering noises in the night with Poe,
While a black bird was squawking, “Nevermore”
Walt began singing the body electric.
Embracing himself, no matter how eclectic.
Mr. Frost then showed me a fork in the road,
With a push down the path most don’t go.
And these are the poets in my high regard,
As inspiration and influence to becoming a bard.
