Been there, done that, a time or two

enjoyed the sunshine and felt the rain

seen countless grey skies turn to blue

had some heartache and some pain

Been blessed to experience quite a few things

that God has allowed me to see

only He knows what tomorrow brings

so I’ll just trust in Him faithfully

People wonder why I live without fear

and the reason is not surprising

with God my future is undeniably clear

I’m sometimes down, but my spirit keeps on rising
