Today the sky is a lazy shade of blue

and the clouds seem to huddle together

as if they are planning a surprise shower.

The wind is whispering in the ears of lovers

lying along the oceanfront, watching the sunrise.

While here at home I again woke up to an empty bed

surrounded by sadness circulating in the atmosphere.

And the flame from the lantern in the window has died.

I guess you never even saw the light.
