Preface…
When my daughters were young, I tried to counteract the Cinderella Story. I told them they didn’t need a prince to save them. I always told them, they were powerful, strong, and as beautiful on the inside as they were on the outside, and they are.
The problem was, I like many women, had trouble believing this about myself. It took going through the fire for me to realize the strength and beauty in myself. Surviving a brutal marriage/divorce and cancer made me realize the value in who I was.
I had to save myself, and I did. Some of the love lessons I learned were harsh, but they taught me what I didn’t need in my life. Those lessons taught me what true love is. I healed myself and in the process, I learned to love myself.
