Raja's Insight 
the soil once lay parched and cracked
begging for spring rains
crying for the sun’s caress
time brought the rains, clean and fresh
filling the furrows dry and deep
it was contented in the light
it made itself welcome for new growth
fresh seeds in rich soil, tended with love
thankful for summers heat, dew of night
remembering always the days of drought
he held her close
touching the petals of her face
with loving, tender hands, restoring
her heart to a secret garden of abundance
