Field of Fairy Tales
They gathered daisies one by one
Plucked petals ‘neath a mid day sun
Looked deep in each others eyes
Petals spoke with such surprise
He loved her and loved her not
She searched for a forget-me-knot
Weaved both together
Binding them forever
So sweet, so innocent the scene
Young girls seeking answers to a dream
Placing the flowers in golden locks
They began a castle from wooden blocks:
Oh so enticing the fairy tale
The roles played out by hearts so frail
I watched, wished their dreams come true
For these little ladies that believed them true.
