Worn, weathered, and wise
her bark, like carvings of tales from the past,
hoping to be read by future generations.
Reaching down to touch the very source of her life,
arms ready for climbing and reaching greater heights.
Hear the silent prayers she chants –
be kind to my lifeblood mother earth.
