II, Searching for My Dove
A romance I thought would last
Brought pain and sorrow to my heart
Throughout my life Iâve been the outcast
I thought nothing could rip us apart
I believed I finally found my dove
A life anew when I was with you
I believed I finally found my love
It was all true when I said I love you
You brought me happiness I never knew
You said the things I never heard
But what you said was never true
And now Iâm just a lonely bird
The pieces of me I see
The parts of you drift away
Believed Iâd be happy
Now Iâm hurting on this day
Someday soon Iâll go to the moon
I pray I see the light of day
Someday soon Iâll have my boon
I pray itâll all be okay
Farewell to what we had
I thought you were my love
All you did was make me sad
Now Iâm searching for my dove
