Open the Door
One day I was looking out the door
I noticed a woman I hadnât ever seen before
She was in a dress
It was free flowing
Moving like it had a mind of its own
Not knowing
She was smiling holding the hem of her dress
So carefree without any repress
She was singing
Spinning
Dancing
She was romancing
Herself
It was like she found her true wealth
She was free
Wanting everyone to see
She had so much peace within
That it was blinding
To those who couldnât comprehend
I could see the glow of God shining on her face
She was in a place
Of contentment
No resentment
Just free to let all the love flow
She let her mind grow
Oh
I could see she was free from her woe
Drenched in illumination it spilled outside
I was so surprised
It was so bright
No more darkness of night
She let go of the fright
That lingered inside of her
She knew that she was more than a conqueror
With Christ that dwells within
He traded her a crown
For her sin
She was bold
No longer cold
No more full of hate
God sealed her fate
So blessed
No longer stressed
Free from being depressed
When I looked closer at the woman
I couldnât understand
What I had seen
This whole scenario changed from red to green
When that woman turned around she was me
So I opened the door and set my own self free
