I’ve been writing since 2010, starting out with some short

scribbles about my present spiritual condition. My writing
became more poetic and revealing as I continued to grow closer to Jesus. From 2010 to present I would write poems and send them to friends and family. Then I started posting in various groups on Facebook such as “The Writers Connection”, “Serious Lovers of Poetry” and the page “Creative Talents Unleashed”.

In July of 2014 I entered a writing contest with many other wonderful poets and writers alike and won a five year publishing contract from Creative Talents Unleashed. While trying to put together my first ever manuscript I found myself tripped up by the loss of Internet and my poems being all over the place and completely unorganized while living the normal not enough time in the day life. I was emailing my pieces to myself on my phone while parked outside of McDonald’s and Pep- boy’s and wherever else I could snag a little free WiFi. Then I had to figure out how to use Microsoft Word to build the manuscript which was a wholly separate nightmare but I persevered.

As of September 15, 2014 I am an officially published author of my first book titled “Pressing On”, I felt the title was fitting after what it took to get there.
