Raja's Insight 
full moon rises rises over flooded ruins of earth
full moon rises
over the flooded ruins
of the earth
its pale light
little comfort
to the dead
left behind
the few survivors
huddle together
beneath a tree
bemoaning their fate
the moon shines
its baleful light
on the dead
and the living
and then the moon
disappears
leaving them
in darkness
as the world ends
all according to God’s plan

There is a timelessness in which our thoughts seem to reside, from which our wisdom seems to emerge. And there is a commonality that seems to unite our understanding of eternity with nature’s rhythms. This poem suggests our thoughts often parallel nature’s timeless rhythms in its peaceful revelation.

Wander through the space of time
wander through this mind of mine
fluid thoughts flow, through the course of time
naked branching thoughts revealed, through this mind of mine.
