Liberated Thinking by Veronica Thornton

Everyone seeks freedom from something

and if you’re not seeking freedom from something

then you haven’t been paying attention to nothing

physical freedom can be withheld

but mental freedom well that’s on ourselves

to be liberated from mental conditioning

a person has to tune in to intuition and dig deep

you see what you see

and believe what you believe

but are they your own thoughts that you have achieved

people take so much stock in who they know

and what they read

quoting things that other people have said

in fact keeping themselves mislead and unliberated instead

to quote ratios and statistics without being realistic

leading some to make many assumptions

mental liberation comes from all forms of education

and it takes a lifetime of gestation

a liberated mind understands

many people’s history were left behind

love really is blind

good spirited people are not so hard to find

cultural differences should be respected

and what’s common for one is not common to some

so don’t expect it

the mental conditioning is well worth mentioning

we were created to be original individuals

and not fall into a mentality that is institutional

because what you really need truly is spiritual

and it is locked away somewhere in your mental

so when you can take a different world view

it’s probably because you used

what was already inside of you

then you can find a way to be liberated too.

While most of her writings remained private it was during her educational pursuits Vee was strongly encouraged to pursue a writing career due to her versatility in topics, styles and ability to articulate her thoughts in a clear, creative yet relatable manner.
