The Poet Part One by Markus Fleischmann

I’m stuck inside my head

So tired of being dead

Left wandering in my rhymes

Poet’s usual seductive times

I’m justifiably happy

I’m poetically sad

Forevermore in thought

Rainy days and trees that sway

Mockingbirds and broken heart’s hurt

Stuck inside with erotic rhymes

Explicit times

Profane lives or illicit wives

Provocative words spread

Naked on my virgin page

Poetry struggling for release
