Ebb and flow
Back and forth
Pushing feelings with intent
Wait for response
Nothing
Pondering the disconnect
Loose wiring
A short perhaps
Thought unit was fully charged
Empty
So speak to the issue
Framed in logic to bridge the gap
Acknowledged but ignored
Heard but echoes to nothing
Silence
Asked to be patience
The words are on the way
So be still and stop moving
Turned to see if love is standing there
Hoping
Wanting to hear the voice of reassurance
Surrounding in comfort and confidence
Anxiously anticipate the arrival
Of the phrase of realness
I love you too…
