Can I read you something I wrote?

His reply is always “Just a minute.”

The minute rarely ever comes

And the interest isn’t there

So I continue to write

And I continue to share

On social media or anywhere

But it’s ok, it’s nothing new

Because to him, it’s not important what I do

I write for me and me alone

My words keep me company

Especially, when I’m feeling low.
