delusions are meaningful explanations for those
who are searching for the significance of life –
a jumble of disconnect faces
slipping in succession
through cracks in the wall
of distant future
ruptured minds are drowned
and wasted in black nights
they wander in clouds of unhappiness –
ponder about the aberration of love
and take walks
on the wild side
bare breasted storms become overdue
as emotions have been kept prisoner
far too long by mental cruelty –
abandoned in cold cells that smell of piss
and bitter sweat that float through
nightmares of madness
in complex minds
life is going at a fast pace
– in reality, without them in it –
lost jewels in a jungle of weeds they are
caught in cobwebs
of misconception

Foreword …
Why are we here?
What is our purpose?
What is the meaning of life?
These are the questions that have plagued humanity since the dawn of time.
With the recent passing of Stephen Hawking, one of the most world-renowned physicists, known for his enormous contributions to quantum mechanics and general relativity, one has to only look to his astounding life of physical challenges and dedication to finding the answers to these questions. It begs us to continue to look for our own answers.
This anthology is dedicated to what gives life meaning and purpose personally. On a grander scale, what is the purpose of our existence as humanity? It is both deeply personal and widely introspective; yet it is also subjective.
Various poets share their verse, prose and poetry about what they perceive to be the meaning of life. ~ Brenda-Lee Ranta

Nice. But delusions are sometimes neurotic, sometimes a fill-in for loneliness, and most rarely, a symptom for mental ill health
