Barefoot and sun kissed,

all of the kids,

and some to witness

our day of combining hearts.

Ivory flowing gown, a bit of lace,

lots of skin, my hair down.

The darkness of your skin against

the sunlit glow,

I melt with each step,

those eyes I’ve grown to know.

Bleached sand dollars, dream catchers

and palm trees…

mix with the nights ahead of you plus me.

A yellow diamond, a gold band…

meaning more than jewelry upon our

hands.
