Wonderland by Lyne Beringer

I’m closing my eyes

Gonna count up to three

Then I’ll flip on the switch

To an alternate me

Whirling and twirling

A bit out of control

Lickity split

Down the rabbit hole

Fusion, confusion

I’m still spinning around

Another flip of the switch

I land face flat on the ground

Fumbling, stumbling

I reach for a door

Trip over my feet

As I step through the floor

The tassels are hassles

When ringing the bell

It leaves me to wonder

Where I actually fell

But happy I am

By the touch of a hand

Let the magic begin

It’s Wonderland

Tick tock says the magic clock

In a language that’s part of the soul

Get in line for the gate

You don’t want to be late

For your trip down the rabbit hole…

Down the Rabbit Hole” is a collective work of writings from poets who like you, live their lives inundated with the challenges and demands of everyday life. They have unlocked the door to boundaries we all make for ourselves and turned those boundaries into fantastic, beautiful worlds to both help ease the boredom and perhaps spark the imagination.
