It’s been one year
Since you’ve been gone.
Life is so short,
But days are long.
I didn’t think that
I’d make it through.
My life has changed
Without you.
I’ve grown in strength
But at what cost?
My brother dear,
It’s you I’ve lost.

This poem gave me an immediate physical response of emotions. So touching, painful, and a deeply felt imagined loss. Beautiful.
