Karma
I had the best sex of my life
while going through cancer and divorce,
in spite of
my burned boobs,
Chemo brain
and hair that fell out in my hands…
(I thought I was ready for that one)
a friend had bought me a wig,
a blonde one
because she thought blondes had more fun
and obviously I needed some…
a gorgeous man
showed me
I was beautiful
amazing
a warrior…
Wonder woman
The divorce mitigation
was on Valentine’s Day
The day before I had to shave my head
my husband laughed when he saw me
but I didn’t cry….
Everyone speaks to me about karma
My sister calls down karma
like an avenging angel
invoking cancer
and burned testicles that fall off
I like to think of karma as a gorgeous man
who blew my mind
and showed me
I was wonder woman
