Darkness at the forest’s edge,
Rustling leaves, a plunging ledge.
Angels softly called your name,
Heavy fog, yet out you came.
Strides so smooth, a virtual glide,
Strong and sure, you reach my side.
I take your hand, see your face,
Blue eyes of love, lust and grace.
My heart serene, peace has come,
Time put in, you are my one.
I’ve been beaten, bruised and hurt,
Brush me off, remove the dirt.
Mountainside or valley yon,
Tangled souls, nightfall till dawn.
We’re now one, as was before,
Twin souls again for evermore.
