Clouds cast shadows
Across the sky.
In kindness,
The sun bows
It’s knowing head.
Such grace holds
Even the greatest egos
At bay.
All the while
My breath upon the wind
Stirs nothing.

Anne D Salyer was born and grew up in a small town in Oklahoma. Eventually I escaped to Kansas where I met the love of my life with whom I’ve been with for 25 years. We currently reside in Overland Park with three cats, my neglected poetic children, and this raccoon puppet. All in all, it is a good life!
