Our feelings
are deeply rooted
like a tree in its prime
and grow even stronger
as passion calls out to us
in the dark. So when
the sunlight erases
all traces of the night
and splashes in our faces
like fresh water, we are
reminded of what could be
if we truly let love have its way.
