Or are you in groove with the routine
That keeps you on the grind
Turning a nickel to a dime?

From autopilot
To cruise control
Living “this” life
Paying the toll . . .

But what do I really know?

I know that I got to pay
For this shelter
The roof over my head
Exchanging time for money
The life of the dead!

Buried inside this body of mine . . .

I have a dream,
I have a life!

But damn . . .
I am stuck in the rat race of 9 to 5.

I have no time to myself
Or for anything else!
Exhausted from the mentality

Of the “J.O.B.”

Day in and day out
Admitting I slave to somebody else
Money for the rich while the poor stay poor

So let me ask you something . . .

When will the day come
You set yourself free
And live your life
Your destiny?

It is up to you . . .

Stay on autopilot
And keep paying the toll
Or wake up
And set a new goal!
