I don’t fit into this world
where attempting to give my all,
contaminated feet trample abundantly
and I am nothing but a doormat
to those who value self-preservation.
It won’t leave me polluted as I wipe
my shoes of the baneful impurities,
ready to plant my feet
on a more stable foundation.
