I lived during the greatest period in world history
We had gone to the moon
Our footprints were on its soil
We even sent probes deep into space to ease drop on God
We could split the human cell
Replace an organ that had worn
Leap clear over the Andes straight into summers arms
Place all that man had learned on a chip of a pocket phone
Keep night at bay indefinitely
Harness the oceans roar
Place food on every tongue that ever uttered a hunger song-
If we wanted there was nothing we couldnât do
No height we could not soar
And you know what?
I think you would have enjoyed it here . . .
Mommy just wasnât sure that love was here.
