Attention Writers: The focus of this book and the poets here in, is to give breath to a wide range of issues both small and controversial that lie beneath the surface, things that we are often hesitant to discuss. All though some of you did a beautiful job of doing so, most submissions completely missed the mark! We are extending the submissions for one more week! It doesn’t matter if you already submitted, or if you were already accepted, here is your chance to submit two more poems by or before Monday June 8^th. Below you will find some ideas of what we are looking for.

Submission Topic Ideas:

·         Technology – How it has for better or worse changed our society.

·         Medications – you need them, but they come with side effects.

·         Social Security – will you be able to retire?

·         Law – unfair sentencing

·         Racism

·         The Legalization of Marijuana – are you for it or against it?

·         Health Care – Do you have it? Or do you go without?

·         Government Assistance – Cash Aide, Food Stamps

·         Minimum Wage – Can you afford to live off of it?

·         Cancer

·         Youth – How we grew up verses the way our children are growing up

·         ADDICTION

·         Any given topic that creates discussion!

We are seeking more edgy writes and personal stories that bring unaddressed issues to the surface!
